Alberto Pfeifer

He was a Policy Fellow at Insper Agro Global between 2025 and 226, where he worked on topics related to geopolitics, strategic affairs, international relations, and foreign policy linked to global agribusiness. He founded and coordinates the International Strategy Analysis Group (DSI) in Defense, Security and Intelligence/Science, Technology and Innovation at the School of Multidimensional Security (ESEM) of USP. He conceived and teaches the course "Science, Technology, and Innovation: the International Dimension" (EAD5966) in the postgraduate program at FEA/USP. He is an associate researcher at the Institute for Advanced Studies (IEA) of USP. Member of COSAG and COSCEX of FIESP; member of the Agribusiness Council of ACSP, member of the Council of Camarbra and member of the Council of ESEM/IRI/USP. He is a permanent contributor to CNN and directs the "Brasil Seguro" program on YpeTV. He was Director of Special Projects and Director of Strategic International Affairs at the Secretariat of Strategic Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic. He was Director Advisor to the President of the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce. He was Executive Director General and of the Brazilian Chapter of the Latin American Business Council (CEAL). He was the general coordinator of the Group for the Analysis of the International Situation (Gacint) at the Institute of International Relations (IRI) of USP, where he served as a full collaborating professor. He holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from ESALQ/USP and a bachelor's degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of USP. He has a Master's degree in Applied Economics from USP and a Master's degree in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts and Harvard University), a PhD in Geography from USP, with doctoral studies at Ohio State University, the University of California at Berkeley, and FADUSP, a specialization in Capital Markets (MBA) from FGV-RJ/Ibmec, and a specialization in Early Childhood Development from the Graduate School of Education, Harvard University, and the Faculty of Medicine of USP (Pinheiros).
