José Pimenta Jr. and Bruno Capuzzi are joining the research team at the center, strengthening research on topics related to international trade and politics.
Insper Agro Global welcomes two new members to its team: José Luiz Pimenta Jr., who joins as a Policy Fellow, and Bruno Capuzzi, who becomes a Researcher. These new additions strengthen the center's work on topics related to international trade, public policy, sustainability, and global issues.
José Luiz Pimenta Jr. holds a doctorate and master's degree in International Relations from USP (University of São Paulo), with extensive experience in government relations, foreign trade, and international negotiations. He is the director of government relations and international trade at BMJ Consultoria, director of the international relations and foreign trade department at FIESP (Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo), and executive director of the Brazilian Institute of International Trade, Investments and Sustainability (IBCIs). He was senior manager of institutional relations and government affairs at Whirlpool; executive manager of government relations at AMCHAM Brazil; and manager of market access and government relations at the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA). Previously, he held the position of Coordinator of International Negotiations and Foreign Trade at the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP). He also worked in the area of International Trade at BRF.
Bruno Capuzzi holds a Master's degree in Economics, specializing in international trade, from Saint Petersburg State University, and has experience in public policies for agribusiness, Brazil-European Union relations, and international organizations. He worked as an advisor for ApexBrasil in Brussels and for the United Nations system, through UNCTAD, in New York. He was a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) and is a Senior Fellow at the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE). He was also an assistant professor in the International Relations course at FECAP.
